Our Story
From the Taj Group to the Tables of Ontario
Executive Chef and founder Nikhil Baxi began his culinary journey inside the kitchens of the Taj Group of Hotels in Mumbai, where precision and hospitality are treated as one craft. It was a series of journeys through Rajasthan — chasing the smoke of roadside tandoors, the slow simmer of dal baati, the fire of a proper laal maans — that planted the idea for KRAVE INDIAN.
What started as a single dining room in Vaughan has spent more than five years introducing Ontario to a cuisine most menus overlook: the bold, rustic, deeply regional food of Rajasthan, plated with the technique of fine dining. That same spirit now lives in our second home, tucked into the creative energy of Toronto's Parkdale Village.
